How much does it cost to stay at an RV Park? This is a very common question!

The answer depends on the park. Some have daily rates, while others have weekly or monthly rates. An average rate is $30-$75 per night, many parks like ours will give a discount for longer term stays. Some of our campers will stay for a month or longer.

The benefits of staying in an RV Park include:

Having access to a bathroom and shower. This can save you money on gas since you don’t have to drive around looking for a public restroom if yours is full. Having a warm shower is a big selling point for RV travelers. Sometimes the small RV shower can be a bit tight for everyday usage. Not to mention having to refill your own water tanks.

Having access to electricity, water and sewer hook-ups so that you don’t need generators or holding tanks which are often noisy. The ability to do laundry (some parks have laundromats). The ability to use your RV as a second home, not just during vacations but also when traveling between places where you might need temporary housing such as during a job search or relocation period. You can save money by not having two different places where you live (e.g., your primary residence vs an apartment). For example, if you own an RV and want to travel across country with friends, then renting out your house while living in an RV park will save you money over renting an apartment near where they live because there won’t be any commute time or utility costs involved with staying there.

How much does it cost to stay at an RV Park?

The cost for staying at an RV park can range from about $20 to over $100 per night. There are many things that will determine the price you pay. Factors that contribute your cost include:

Location – If there are a lot of competing RV Parks, you will more than likely find a lesser rate than if RV Parks are scarce in the area. Think of it like a Hotel/Motel – Rooms are much more expensive in areas that are typically full capacity.

Amenities – If you need to utilize full hookups your price per night might be a bit higher to offset the cost the RV Park owner has to pay to provide these services. If you need laundry services, nice clubhouse, showers etc…Some bare minimum RV Parks can provide you with a space to park and nothing more. (and you will get a much lower rate).

Consider contacting RV Parks before you leave on your trip. This will help you choose the right RV Parks with everything you need.
