When you hire someone to work for you, you generally know no more than what you find in a résumé. When someone has a family, though, you know a lot more.

My wife, Sandy, and I have one goal in mind with the Russ McEwen Family Aquatic Center: to provide a safe and fun environment in which people of all ages and abilities can learn to water ski, wakeboard, tube, swim, or just enjoy splashing around in the water.
I find my role at the center exciting and challenging. First of all, I love water! I enjoy kayaking, canoeing, wakeboarding, and sailing. I enjoy being on the water so much that I spend a lot of time there, and I also have a boat in my backyard.
Second, I have a lot of experience as a manager, and I enjoy managing people. I have supervised houseboats, marinas, marina repair companies, and marina construction. I like helping and motivating people, and I enjoy the rewards that come from a job well done.
